What is school consultation?

School consultation is collaborative support in which a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) works with your child’s teachers, aides, and support staff to align classroom strategies with your child’s ABA goals. The result is consistency across home, therapy, and school — which helps skills generalize and reduces challenging behavior in the classroom.

How we support schools and families

  • Observing your child in the classroom and identifying barriers to learning
  • Coaching teachers and aides on positive behavior strategies
  • Aligning classroom supports with the ABA treatment plan
  • Collaborating on IEP and behavior goals (with your consent)
  • Supporting smooth transitions between settings and grade levels

Why it matters

Children spend much of their day at school. When educators and therapists use the same language and strategies, progress accelerates and your child experiences less frustration. School consultation turns separate efforts into one coordinated plan.

How it works

After a free consultation, a BCBA reviews your child’s needs and, with your permission, coordinates with the school. Consultation pairs naturally with our ABA therapy, functional behavior assessment, and parent training services.
